MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.

Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently gain from a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.

The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Team, has been satisfying with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.

Mr George said “a variety of little organizations in Cornwall presently make money from used cooking oil”.

Biodiesel is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
